Building Support System

I love cyberpunk but despise the unnatural idea of thinking you can erect one building on top of another, use external bracing and have it all stay up. Structurally it's just not ever going to happen for many reasons and engineer would be more than happy to tell about.

SOOOoooooo, how to get this idea of 'stacked' buildings to work and still remain plausible? You don't! :D (unless they are designed for it beforehand...more on that later). I needed a way to increase the number of city levels while adhering to some notion of realism.

Welcome to the Building Support System. This little turd will allow 'existing' buildings to sit beneath newer, 'stacked' upper architecture and in so doing provide a lower class city area for the lower or indigent economic class.

I wonder if this is a plausible engineering concept? (still cool...) Modeled in Silo. Preview rendered in Maxwell Render.

A final version render test. Still needs some tweaks.
